Opera Quiz Information

The Metropolitan Opera Quiz is the longest continuously programmed Quiz “show” in the United States.

The personnel consists of a host and three panelists – with special guest artists; and possibly a guest pianist or instrumentalist, if the questions require their participation.   The live audience does not actively participate in the quizzes, nor do they submit questions at that time.  Questions are submitted through our website: http://www.metopera.org/Season/Radio/Saturday-Matinee-Broadcasts/Submit-A-Quiz-Question/ .

Please know all ticket holders to the matinee performances at the Met are welcome to attend the Opera Quiz, which takes place in List Hall (south of Orchestra level).

Prizes are only awarded to people who have submitted quiz questions through the website or mail, whose questions are then used on the opera quiz on the air.

It is also possible on the Friday before each quiz/matinee broadcast to see on-line the intermission features, including the participants in the opera quiz for the following day or previous Saturdays.  Please visit metopera.org/season/radio/Saturday broadcasts (Learn more)/Scroll to the particular broadcast, and click Intermission Features.
